Recent DNA Success Stories:
  • Reunited an adoptee with her birth father's family, including an older half-brother (they could be twins!)
  • Used DNA test results in two different databases to prove that a man's birth father was not Polish (as he had been told), but was a descendant of Deacon Edmund Rice of Massachusetts.
  • Used DNA to narrow down candidates for the parents of a client's (deceased) mother, who was born in 1922 and adopted shortly afterwards.
  • Solved a 43-year old brick wall with DNA that matched a cousin but not me. See His Name Was Lewis Prosser.
  • DNA testing provided the name of my 2nd great-grandmother's father; his probate records provided a motive for her murder. See Anatomy of a Probate File.
  • Proved a client's great-grandmother's Irish-born parents using DNA matches. See DNA and Direct Evidence.
  • A client's grandfather left the family in the early 1920s, after the client's father was born in 1923 in Seattle. DNA testing results and close analysis of the matches provided a good candidate for this grandfather (who had a fictitious name), based on age, marital history, residence, and occupation.
